Author's Permission to Use the Work

This document confirms that the author voluntarily permits the Okno v Miry website to use their work, published on the site free of charge, on the terms set out below. The permission is made in two identical copies, one for each party, and may be signed with a simple electronic signature or confirmed by an email from the author's address.

1. Parties "Author" means the person named in the signature block below. "Platform" means the Okno v Miry website, oknovmir.com.

2. Subject The Author grants the Platform the right to use the Author's free work, named in the signature block (the "Work"), to the extent set out in section 3. All rights in the Work remain with the Author and do not pass to the Platform.

3. What the Platform may do 3.1 Distribution — publish and distribute the text of the Work on the Platform's website and mobile app, including free reading and presenting the Work to readers.

3.2 Narration — record an audio version of the Work and publish it on the Platform, including free listening.

3.3 Translation — translate the Work into English and other languages and publish those language versions on the Platform.

3.4 Visual novels — creating free visual novels (illustrated stories with choices) based on the Work and publishing them on the Platform free of charge to readers.

3.5 Video clips — creating short videos, trailers and clips based on the Work to present it, and publishing them on the site, in the Platform's mobile app and on its social media pages, free of charge to viewers.

3.6 Language versions, the audio version, the cover and other materials created by the Platform may be used by the Platform to present the Work on the site and in materials about it.

3.7 Social networks — posting on the Platform's pages and accounts on the social networks Facebook (Meta), TikTok, YouTube and WeChat the Work and the materials created from it: the cover, text excerpts, audio fragments, visual novels, video clips and trailers, to present and promote the Work free of charge to viewers.

4. Costs and payment The Platform bears all costs of narration, translation, design, visual novels and video clips. The Author pays nothing and receives no fee: the Work is distributed free of charge. If the Author later wishes to sell the Work, its audio version or a translation, on or outside the Platform, the terms are agreed separately.

5. Term and early termination 5.1 The permission runs for 5 (five) years from the date in the signature block. If neither party gives written notice of termination at least 30 days before it expires, it is extended for the same term. Materials already available to readers stay on the site after the term ends; at the Author's request the Platform stops only their new distribution. 5.2 The Author may withdraw from this Permission before the term ends by giving the Platform written notice at least 30 (thirty) days in advance. In that case the Author reimburses the Platform in full for the documented costs of creating the audio version (narration), translations into other languages, visual novels, video clips and trailers based on the Work that exist at the time of withdrawal. The amount is confirmed by contractor agreements, invoices and statements of work performed. 5.3 No reimbursement is due where the withdrawal is based on the grounds in section 6 of this Permission (breach by the Platform of its obligations). 5.4 Upon termination the Platform stops using the Work and the materials created from it, except where expressly required by law or separately agreed by the parties.

6. Breach by the Platform: withdrawal without conditions 6.1 The Author may terminate this Permission unilaterally, without any conditions, compensation or reimbursement of costs, by giving the Platform written notice, if the Platform has committed a material breach of its obligations. 6.2 The following are treated as material breaches by the Platform: 6.2.1 using the Work in ways not covered by section 3, including distribution outside the website, the mobile app and the listed social networks, sublicensing, or transfer of the Work or the materials created from it to third parties without the Author's written consent (Articles 1235 and 1237 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation; section 22 of the Copyright Ordinance, Cap. 528, Hong Kong); 6.2.2 charging for access to the Work, its audio version, translation or visual novel, or any other commercial use contrary to section 4; 6.2.3 failing to credit the author and the title of the Work, giving false information about the author, or appropriating authorship (Article 1265 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation; section 89 of the Copyright Ordinance); 6.2.4 altering, abridging or adding to the text of the Work without the Author's written consent, or any treatment derogatory to the Author's honour, dignity or business reputation (Article 1266 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation; section 92 of the Copyright Ordinance); 6.2.5 continuing to use the Work and the materials created from it after the Permission expires or after receiving the Author's notice of withdrawal; 6.2.6 failing to comply with the Author's request to stop new distribution of the materials within 30 days; 6.2.7 disclosing or transferring the Author's personal data or correspondence to third parties without consent. 6.3 Notice of breach is sent to the Platform's address or from the Author's address given in the signature block. If the Platform does not remedy the breach within 10 (ten) business days of receiving the notice, the Permission is terminated on the date stated in the notice. 6.4 Termination under this section does not deprive the Author of the right to claim damages and compensation available under the law, and does not require the Author to reimburse the Platform's costs. 6.5 These grounds correspond to the concept of material breach of an obligation (paragraph 2 of Article 450, Article 450.1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation) and to the rule that a licence ends where the licensee goes beyond the rights granted.

7. Confidentiality of the terms 7.1 The terms of this Permission are individual for each Author. The Author undertakes not to disclose the text of this document or its terms on the Internet, on any websites, social networks, messengers, Telegram channels, forums or other platforms, and not to pass the document on or show it to third parties, including other authors of the Platform, without the Platform's prior written consent. 7.2 The following is not a disclosure: revealing the content of the document in response to a lawful request from a state authority or a court; providing the document to the Author's own representative, lawyer or notary; stating the fact of cooperation with the Platform without disclosing its terms. 7.3 For breach of this section the Platform may, at its choice, claim compensation for the losses caused, including lost profit and the costs of restoring the infringed right, or go to court to protect the infringed right, and may also demand that further distribution of the document stop. 7.4 The confidentiality obligation survives termination of this Permission.

8. Author's warranties The Author confirms being the rights holder of the Work, that the Work does not infringe third-party rights and has not been granted to anyone else on an exclusive basis. The permission is non-exclusive: the Author may publish and otherwise use the Work anywhere else.
